Energy Assessment and Gas Efficiency Grants Close 28th September 2018

With only a month to go, don’t hesitate to register your interest in the Sustainable Victoria Energy Assessment or Gas Efficiency grant programs before they come to an end.  Empower’s recently conducted a detailed energy assessment under the Sustainable Victoria grant program for a business in Epping and identified opportunities to reduce energy consumption by 36%, which was a reduction in their overall energy costs by $21,400 and avoided 117 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

Both grant programs are available to Australian businesses that spend over $20,000 per year on energy.  Under the Energy Assessment, businesses that spend between $20,000 and $50,000 per year on energy are eligible to receive a grant of $2,000 towards a basic energy assessment and $3,000 towards the implementation of a recommendation.  Businesses spending over $50,000 on energy per year are eligible to receive half the cost of a detailed energy assessment, along with $5,000 towards implementation.  Under the Gas Efficiency grants program, businesses can receive up to $50,000 in matched funding towards a gas efficiency project.

Details on the grants programs can be found on the Sustainable Victoria website or contact Empower for further information.
