Network Tariff Optimisation FY19-20: Total Saving $936,446

Your electricity network operator charges for maintaining the poles and wires that supply electricity to your premises.  These charges are included in your electricity bill.

Network prices are charged based on standard published tariffs which are selected based on your electricity usage and demand.  As your energy usage can vary, you may not be charged by the network against the lowest cost tariff available.  This is particularly common where there is a change in business operations, equipment and Solar PV installation.

Empower specialise in reviewing energy usage and demand data to find the lowest cost network tariff available.

Where we found savings...

"Our team have delivered phenomenal customer savings this year. The biggest opportunities have been found in Victoria, particularly for customers in the Ausnet and Powercor distribution areas.  We have also found significant savings for customer  serviced by Ausgrid in New South Wales.  South Australia is interesting to watch, as number of tariffs have just been closed and customers have been automatically reassigned.
